OUR STORY

The Story Behind Chronis Elite

Chronis Elite grew out of Andreas Chronis’s years inside the game, from Greek youth fields to a professional locker room, and from his belief that lasting development comes from correct, consistent training over time.

The Beginning

Built From Experience

Chronis Elite did not start with a business plan or a marketing idea. It started with one player looking honestly at his own development, at the chances that opened up for him, and at the things he wishes he had understood sooner.

Andreas Chronis, the founder of Chronis Elite, spent his youth chasing the game across two countries and every level he could reach. What he carried out of those years was not a highlight reel. It was a clear sense of what actually moves a young player forward, and what only looks like progress.

The Player

A Life Shaped by the Game

Andreas grew up moving through environments that each asked something different of him. Every step raised the standard, shortened the margin for error, and taught him how much of a player’s development happens in the habits nobody is watching. That progression is still the reference point behind how Chronis Elite trains today.

Eleftheria

His first soccer home was a Greek youth club, where the fundamentals took shape and training every day became a habit rather than a chore.

BW Gottschee

A step into a demanding New York youth club, where he learned that a place in the lineup had to be earned again every single week.

Metrostars

Training inside a professional club structure, now part of the New York Red Bulls organization, where expectations came from every direction at once.

US Youth National Team Pool

Years in the national pool from U-14 through U-19, training and competing alongside some of the strongest young players in the country.

The Decision

Stepping Into the Professional Game

In 2007, at eighteen years old, Andreas turned down a full scholarship to Columbia University and signed with AEK Athens in the Greek first division. It was a decision that closed one door on purpose so he could walk through another.

What he found there was a different world. He was coached by Lorenzo Serra Ferrer and trained in an environment that included Rivaldo and players from the Greek generation that won the 2004 European Championship. Talent was the entry fee, not the advantage.

That chapter taught him the part of the game young players almost never hear about:

The Turning Point

Turning Experience Into Purpose

When the professional playing path came to an end, Andreas did something a lot of players skip. He sat with it. He studied what had genuinely helped him, and he studied the moments where better guidance would have changed the outcome.

The successes showed him what was possible. The setbacks showed him what had been missing. Both pointed in the same direction, back toward the game, but from the other side of the whiteboard.

One thought kept returning. Young players are rarely short on effort or ambition. What they usually lack is structure, honest feedback, and a coach who can explain why a session matters.

The Purpose

A Passion Project Becomes Chronis Elite

It began part time. A few sessions, a few players, and a way of coaching that came straight out of Andreas’s own development rather than out of a template.

Families noticed how their kids were being taught. Players started asking for more. The work quietly outgrew the description of a side project.

In 2021, Andreas founded Chronis Elite. The academy was built around the same idea it started with, which is that players improve when training is correct, consistent, and connected to the game they actually play on the weekend.

Developing the Complete Player

Andreas learned that isolated drills and natural ability only carry a player so far. Chronis Elite trains all four sides of a player at once, so skill, understanding, athleticism, and mindset grow together instead of separately.

1

Technical

Skill With A Purpose

Ball mastery, first touch, passing, and finishing, trained in reps that look like the game so the skill holds up under real pressure.

2

Tactical

Understanding The Game

Players learn to read what is in front of them, so decisions come from understanding the game rather than from instinct alone.

3

Mental

Composure And Accountability

Confidence, focus, and honesty about mistakes, because the players who keep improving are the ones who can handle real feedback.

4

Physical

Athletic Foundation

Speed, agility, coordination, and conditioning built appropriately for growing athletes, so movement supports technique instead of limiting it.

What We Stand For

No Shortcuts. No Empty Repetitions.

Every academy says it develops players. The difference shows up inside a single session, in how much attention each player actually gets, and in whether the work still makes sense six months later.

Purposeful Training

Every drill has a reason the player can explain. If a repetition does not serve their development, it does not belong in the session.

Consistency Over Intensity

Progress comes from training correctly week after week, not from one punishing session that leaves a player sore and no better.

Game Realistic Work

Sessions recreate the pressure, angles, and decisions of a real match, so players can use what they learn on the weekend.

Real Personal Attention

Small groups exist for a reason. Coaches can see each player clearly, correct them in the moment, and follow their progress over time.

Honest Accountability

Players hear the truth about their game, delivered in a way that builds them up rather than shuts them down. Growth needs clarity.

The Person Behind the Player

Work ethic, composure, and how a young athlete handles setbacks all matter long after the last game they ever play.

A Chronis Elite Principle
There is no shortcut to lasting success. Players reach their potential by training correctly and consistently over time.

The idea Andreas built the academy on, and the standard every Chronis Elite coach is held to.

Chronis Elite Today

Built for the Next Generation

Chronis Elite is a structured development environment rather than a collection of sessions. The coaches work from the same philosophy, so a player hears one consistent message no matter who is leading the group.

Training runs across the academy’s active locations on Long Island, in Queens, and in Westchester, from personal training to small group clinics, for players ages 5 to 17.

The methods keep evolving as the coaching staff learns more. The purpose has not moved since that first part time session.
