Andreas Chronis grew up playing for Greek youth club Eleftheria, followed by BW Gottschee, and then Metrostars (Redbull). He was a member of the US Youth National Team Pool from U-14 – U-19. In 2007, at 18 years old, Chronis turned down a full scholarship to Columbia University and signed for 1st Division Greek powerhouse AEK Athens. He was coached by Lorenzo Serra Ferrer (Barcelona, Real Betis, Mallorca), and played alongside Ballon D’or winner Rivaldo, and 7 Greek national team players that won the Euro in 2004.
After his playing career, Chronis took time to reflect on his journey. During this time, he analyzed the successes and failures he had and it ignited a desire for him to step back in and share all he learned with the next generation of players. What started as a part time passion project has now turned into a lifelong purpose and Andreas Chronis founded Chronis Elite training academy in 2021. With over 200 players committed to the training program, Chronis believes there is no shortcut to long term success, and that the only way a player can truly reach their maximum potential is by training correctly and consistently. This is why Chronis Elite caters to families and players that have a long-term vision for player development.
